You've heard about Savvy Soiree. Now, get to know a little about show producers.
Andrea: I moved to the US almost 20 years ago, becoming a citizen in 2009. I have lived in Darlington, SC for almost 10 years. I am married to George, and have three kids and 5 grandkids.
I am the owner of Photographs by Andrea. I have been a professional wedding and portrait photographer for 14 years. On average, I shoot 25-30 weddings a year.
Stephanie: 13 years ago, I became a certified wedding and event planner. I’m lead planner at Elegant Events, a wedding and event planning company.We work events all over SC and NC.
I grew up in Johnsonville. I’m a graduate of Francis Marion University, where I met my husband (Shellon) my last year there. I have two boys who I love spending time with.
We met almost 10 years ago on Wedding Wire after Andrea moved to SC. We quickly became great friends and we shared a love of the wedding and event industry. Over the years, we’ve worked on weddings together.
How did we get to be Savvy Soiree?
We’d attended and participated in various shows in the area. We’d also seen the shows in the area go through several transitions.
We realized there was an opportunity for us to produce quality wedding shows, by industry professionals in the Pee Dee area, for couples and industry professionals in the area.
Nearly four years ago, we had our first official Savvy Soiree meeting. Our original plan was to produce fall shows. Since our first show at Francis Marion University’s Performing Arts Center, we’ve grown, expanded beyond fall shows, and each show has gotten better.
Since we started, we’ve seen show attendance more than double. We've also joined Bridal Show Producers International (a group of wedding show producers from all over the world).
We only produce shows that are identified as Savvy Soiree shows. We’ve expanded to producing shows in Florence (at SiMT) and Lake City (The ROB).
We not only cater our shows to the needs of brides, grooms and their families, we also want the industry professionals that showcase with us to be highlighted. We do everything we can to get their businesses known to people that need their services. We want to be relatable to everyone who is a part of our shows.
Our goals remain to provide the best wedding show in the area and to bring the best of the wedding industry to engaged couples.
